Loom vs Vidyard vs Sendspark for sales outreach: which one fits a small team?
Loom is a screen recorder, Vidyard is per-seat video messaging for sales, Sendspark generates personalized videos at scale. A sourced comparison for founders and small teams, with prices checked in October 2026 and the case where none of the three is the right buy.

Part of our guide to video prospecting.
These three get compared because they all record a person talking to a camera. That is where the overlap ends. Loom is a screen recorder for teams that happens to work for prospecting. Vidyard is a video messaging tool priced per sales seat. Sendspark is a personalization engine that records once and generates a video per prospect. Pick the wrong one and you pay for a job you don't have.
Prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on October 14, 2026. Each is linked so you can check.

Loom: the recorder everyone already has
Loom's pricing page does not mention sales once. The Starter plan is free and gives you 25 videos at up to 5 minutes each, with screen and camera bubble recording. Business is $18 per user per month billed monthly for unlimited videos and recording time, and Business + AI is $24 for the editing and recap features. The page says annual billing saves up to 17%. The only CRM mention is a Salesforce integration on the Enterprise tier.
Where Loom wins: screen recording. If your outreach is "here is your website, here are the three things I'd change," nothing on this list makes that easier, and your prospect has almost certainly opened a Loom link before. For internal walkthroughs and product demos it is the default for a reason.
Where it doesn't: the free plan caps you at 25 videos per person, the links carry Loom branding until you pay, and there is no view tracking tied to a lead or a pipeline. You will be keeping that in a spreadsheet.
Vidyard: built for sales, priced per seat
Vidyard's pricing page is the one that talks about deals. The free plan gives you 5 videos a month, up to 30 minutes each, basic view notifications, and 15 AI videos. Starter is $59 per seat per month billed annually ($89 billed monthly) for unlimited videos and full video analytics, with a 14-day trial. Teams and Enterprise are custom pricing and add CRM and marketing automation integrations. AI avatars come as a Video Agent add-on at $24 per seat per month billed annually ($29 monthly).
Where Vidyard wins: you run a real sales team and want video inside the CRM. Full video analytics on Starter, team performance analytics and CRM integrations on Teams. If a rep's manager needs to see video activity next to calls and emails, this is the tool.
Where it doesn't: the price per seat. A founder sending ten videos a month pays the same $59 as a rep sending two hundred. The integrations that justify the price sit on the custom-priced tiers, so a two-person team ends up on Starter with analytics but no CRM sync.
Sendspark: record once, send a thousand
Sendspark's FAQ on its pricing page says it directly: it is "an AI video personalization platform, not a screen recorder." You record one video with a placeholder greeting. The product clones your voice, says each prospect's name, and puts their website behind you. Plans are metered in Dynamic Video Minutes: Solo is $49 a month (billed annually at $468) with 1 seat and 100 minutes; Growth is $99 a month (billed annually at $828) with 3 seats, 250 minutes, and the Salesforce, Outreach and Salesloft integrations; Team is $299 and Business $699. Extra minutes are billed per minute at each plan's rate. There is no free plan, but every plan starts with a 7-day trial and no card.
Where Sendspark wins: volume with a face on it. If you send 500 videos a month into a sequencer, recording each one by hand is not an option, and Sendspark is the only tool here that solves that.
Where it doesn't: the thing it is good at is the thing a small team should be suspicious of. A cloned voice saying "Hi Maria" over a screenshot of Maria's homepage is personalization in the sense that a mail merge is. If your list is 30 well-chosen people, you can record 30 real videos in an afternoon and they will be better. Sendspark's own comparison says Loom and Vidyard make you record a new video per prospect. For a small list, that is the point.
The fourth option: attach the video to the research
All three tools answer "how do I record and send a video." None of them answer "what do I say in it." That is the question a small team actually has. If you know the prospect's role, what their company sells, who they compete with, and what they are likely struggling with, a 60-second phone-camera video gets a reply. If you don't, a 4K Loom with chapter markers doesn't.
That is why HotLeads treats recording as the last step of research instead of a product on its own. The agent finds decision-makers who match your ICP and writes a dossier per lead with a source URL on every fact. From that lead's card you tap one of three things: a note (up to 4,000 characters), a voice memo (up to 3 minutes), or a quick video (the recorder stops at 2 minutes on purpose). Each becomes a page addressed to that person by first name on its own link. The link unfurls with a play-button card in Slack, iMessage and email, the prospect needs no account to open it, and the overview shows who opened it, how many times, and when they first did.
Notes, voice memos and videos are unlimited on every plan, including the free trial. You pay for research, not seats: the free trial covers 10 leads and 3 deep dossiers with no card, Starter is $49 a month for 100 leads and 25 dossiers, Pro is $129 a month for 300 leads and 75 dossiers.
Where HotLeads is the wrong choice: it is not a screen recorder, there is no editor beyond retake, no AI avatars or voice cloning, and no CRM sync today. If you need any of those, buy Loom, Vidyard or Sendspark for it. If you also still need a database of contacts to point the video at, start with HotLeads vs Apollo or the ZoomInfo alternatives for small teams.
How to choose
Ask what you are recording. Screens of someone else's product: Loom, free plan first. Videos inside a CRM for a team with a manager: Vidyard. Hundreds of videos a month into a sequencer: Sendspark. A short list you researched properly and want to talk to like a person: record it where the research lives. The free trial below gives you 10 researched leads to try that on.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Loom or Vidyard better for sales?
- Vidyard, if you mean a tool built for sales. Its paid plans add video analytics and, on the Teams and Enterprise tiers, CRM integrations. Loom's pricing page is written for team communication and lists a Salesforce integration only on Enterprise. If you record internal walkthroughs and the occasional prospect video, Loom's free plan does the job.
- What is the difference between Sendspark and Loom?
- Sendspark's own FAQ says it is an AI video personalization platform, not a screen recorder. You record one video, and it generates a version per prospect with a cloned voice saying their name and their website as the background. Loom records one video per recording and has no voice cloning.
- Which one has a free plan?
- Loom (Starter: 25 videos, 5-minute screen recordings) and Vidyard (5 videos a month, up to 30 minutes each). Sendspark has no free plan, only a 7-day trial with no card required. HotLeads includes unlimited notes, voice memos and videos on its free trial.
- Do I need a video tool at all for cold outreach?
- Only if you know who you are sending to and why they should care. A video is a format, not a reason to reply. The research that gives you something specific to say comes first, which is why HotLeads attaches recording to a researched lead instead of selling a recorder.
